Pier Timmendorfer Strand
As part of the project, 54 foundation pipes were installed on land and from the water side.
After the piling of the foundation pipes, the support structures for the bridge were installed in the pipes. The bridge superstructure was constructed using 13 prefabricated steel elements with Bongossi covering. For the operation of the restaurant on the water-side platform and for the bridge lighting, the construction was equipped with supply lines.
The challenge of the project lay in the architecturally demanding geometry and the elaborate lighting. A wide, gently curved wooden plank path leads far out to the Baltic Sea and ends in the light-flooded tea house.
Another highlight inside the tea house is a large recess in the platform, which provides guests with a direct view of the water through an integrated glass plate.
